PRAËM was established in 2014 by brothers Sylvain Berneron (of Hollographic Hammer) and his brother Florent Berneron and this is their first build. A custom Grand Tourer based on the Honda VTR 1000 RC51 SP2 (a bike which I owned for three years in the mid 00’s and I still miss.) The bike has been upgraded with high quality parts from Öhlins, Rotobox and Brembo and parts of the bodywork is made from 2mm stainless steel wire and by varying the density of the wires, fresh air can go through in the ram air at the front, and hot air can be extracted.
The fairing is apparently inspired by the sculptures of the Brooklyn based Korean artist Seung Mo Park, but I also see some inspiration for El Soltiarios 2014 Imposter bike and BMW’s Gina concept is also a conceptual reference point. Interesting concept that goes beyond the obvious and the endlessly explored retro direction, though I am not so sure about that TAG Heuer Monaco watch on the tank.
